GeoFOR's ongoing database began in 2019 and currently contains over 3,200 cases across environments. Most cases are from the United States, but the app is available to users worldwide as we continue to build collaborations internationally.
The reference dataset used by the machine learning predictive model currently consists of 1,200 cases from U.S. human decomposition research facilities and over 2,000 medicolegal forensic cases within the U.S. and abroad.
